Wildlife & Wetlands
Photographic Safari

Welcome to our Wildlife & Wetlands Photographic Safari. Over 2 days you will have the opportunity to capture iconic animals, unique Australian flora and breathtaking scenery as you travel from the outskirts of Adelaide down to the beautiful Coorong.
This all-inclusive tour is perfect for capturing the essence of a unique part of Australia and indulging your senses. Our guest professional photographer, Leon Mead, travelling on the tour, will be teaching all he knows from a life behind the lens to ensure you get the most out of your experience.
A delicious lunch (plus morning & afternoon tea) is served on board as we cruise up the Coorong through storm boy country towards the Murray Mouth. Our private cruise allows us to stop along the beach for an optional wander up into the dunes into rich indigenous cultural sites, where we’ll pop out on the 90-Mile Beach which features the roaring Southern Ocean.
We then make our way through the quaint fishing village of the Coorong shacks before heading past the mouth and towards the Goolwa Barrage. Specky sights of the lifestyle the area presents, such as old wooden boats, abundant bird life and the happy-go-lucky kayakers paddling around. As we go through the Goolwa barrage, built in the late 1930’s, we may be lucky enough to hang out with the lazy New Zealand fur-seals and their feathered friends.
Capture beautiful scenery, birdlife, seals and expert commentary along the way – this 5-hour cruise of Discovery is the perfect way to see an experience the remote and wondrous wetlands of the Coorong.
Your accommodation for the night is spectacular. Two Coorong waterfront houses, only 200m apart! Absolute Coorong & Coorong Waterfront Retreat in the beautiful little town of Noonameena. Comfy living rooms, quiet location and truly peaceful. What better place to relax and unwind.
